EN ROUTE!

I remember some time ago, passing through an airport and checking out the status of both departing and arriving flights. I noticed that there were so many different messages. For example, flights were “Delayed”; “Boarding”; “At the Gate” or “Landed”. ; But there was one message that day that grabbed my attention. It was EN ROUTE. I found that to be interesting because it didn’t say how long ago that particular flight had left its point of origin. Neither did it say the estimated time of arrival. Instead there was just this one confirmation that gave those who were waiting the assurance that their flight was on its way to its destination. With that in mind our FF for today is a word of assurance to those who might be waiting on God for what seems like forever. Don’t stop believing and don’t lose hope now for what God has promised is EN ROUTE! That’s today’s FF – EN ROUTE!

Recently a package was sent to me via international courier. I received an email that alerted me to the fact that this package was already EN ROUTE and if I wanted to I could check on the companyÂ’s website to trace the package. I must admit that I found that bit of information to be very comforting. Being able to track what the package that was EN ROUTE gave me sense of reassurance and consolation. I was confident in that there was not a delay in the shipping. I also knew that it was only a matter of time before what was EN ROUTE would finally get to me. In fact when I called the local office to find out when the package would get into my hands, I did not have to ask if it had reached St. Thomas. I knew that it had. But I still had to wait for it to be delivered to me. Have you ever wished that God would be more like the courier companies? HavenÂ’t you ever wanted for God to not only let you know that what has been promised to you is EN ROUTE, but also to somehow let you see exactly where EN ROUTE the promise now is?

But God is not like FedEx, UPS or DHL! Though God’s blessings are EN ROUTE and the answers to our prayers are on the way, we don’t have a link that we could click on to see exactly where the answer to the prayer is. And so what are we to do? The only thing that we can do – continue to wait on the Lord. We have to trust that in God’s good time all that has been promised and all that is EN ROUTE to us will finally get to the right destination. Waiting is always easier said than done. How do we continue to trust God when we may have received a prophetic Word from God over 10 or 15 years ago of God releasing a blessing to you? And here now with 2014, it’s still EN ROUTE! But we are not the first who has to wait for what’s EN ROUTE from God. Ask David who after being anointed to replace King Saul as the ruler over God’s people, then had to wait for nearly 15 years while that promise was EN ROUTE! What of Joseph who was sold into slavery as a teen but who never saw the fulfillment of God’s promise that was EN ROUTE until he turned 30!

So be encouraged today! Rest assured that whatever God has revealed to you that concerns you, your family, your church, your nation and even the world is all EN ROUTE! Though we may not be able to track whatÂ’s EN ROUTE, donÂ’t stop trusting and believing. For 2014 keep hope alive by reminding yourself that GodÂ’s promises have already been dispatched from the hands of God and that they are EN ROUTE. It is only a matter of time before whatÂ’s EN ROUTE gets to its destination.
