KNOW MUCH BUT LOVE MORE

Hello All

How much do you really KNOW about your neighbours - your spouse - your children - your boss - your best friend - your girlfriend or boyfriend – yourself – God - the Lord Jesus Christ?

All of us seek to KNOW as much as we possibly can about whatever or whomever. We may even boast about how much we KNOW about God, the Bible and what it means to live as a Christian. We are glad that we can honestly say that we KNOW our spouse or that special person in our life. We open our lives to others so that they can KNOW us. Some people we allow to KNOW us better than others.

The higher our IQÂ’s the better we feel about ourselves. The better the GPA the more proud we are. We are motivated to let as many people as possible KNOW just how much we KNOW. ItÂ’s a great feeling. ThatÂ’s why we study for exams and work to pass a test. We feel affirmed because of what we KNOW.

But as we strive to KNOW more and show to all just how much we KNOW, remember this thought for our FF for today - KNOW MUCH BUT LOVE MORE. Consider this: HOW MUCH YOU KNOW MATTERS LESS THAN HOW MUCH YOU LOVE AND ARE LOVED. ThatÂ’s what really counts.

Seek to KNOW as much as you can about all that there is to KNOW. But my prayer for all us is captured in Ephesians 3:18 – 19, ‘And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.’

Till next Friday, GodÂ’s willing, may the love you give and receive outweigh what you KNOW and may you come to KNOW the love of God. The more you KNOW, the more you ought to love.
