Exodus 14:13

Do not be afraid, stand firm, and see the deliverance that the Lord will accomplish for you today. Exodus 14:13

Exodus Chapter 14 verse 13 reads "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will work for you today, for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today ye shall see again no more for ever."(American Standard version).

During this Advent season, we have the promise of salvation from the birth of Jesus our Lord and Saviour, if we will only let God/Jehovah work for us. During the time of Moses, just before God parted the Red Sea, he was trying to tell the Israelites that God/Jehovah was their salvation if only they would let him. This is still the case today.

God/Jehovah promises to work for us to provide inner peace, if only we will let him into our hearts. He will fight our battles for us if we take them to him in faith.

Prayer:
Lord in this Advent Season, help us to truly reflect on your words and accept your gift of salvation to know that you are truly the one on whom we can count to give us inner peace and provide for all our needs. Help us to ‘stand still and see your salvation’. Amen.
