I'M STILL ME

Hello All

Has anybody ever told you “you’ve changed”? Was it for the better or for worse? Were the words true or did you see yourself just the same? The truth is we all go through some sort of change physically, emotionally and spiritually. The issues of life bombard us and when they do, the impact is of such that there will be some sort of change. When all is said and done can we still maintain I’M STILL ME? That’s our FF for today.

TodayÂ’s FF is an affirmation that calls us to realize that GodÂ’s power is able to preserve us in the midst of whatever confronts us. GodÂ’s peace will surround us in the pivot of the fiercest conflicts. GodÂ’s love will sustain us as we are bruised by those who are most close to us. GodÂ’s grace will revive us when weÂ’ve wandered far away from God. When whatever is no longer, we can boldly declareÂ…IÂ’M STILL ME.

After a painful divorce having spent so many years married, IÂ’M STILL ME.
After being elevated and promoted in my job and having more influence, IÂ’M STILL ME.
IÂ’ve lost part of my body because of cancer but today IÂ’m still alive and, IÂ’M STILL ME.
After securing the job of a lifetime, IÂ’M STILL ME.
I may have found the man or woman of my dreams, but IÂ’M STILL ME.
I may feel abandoned, lonely and forsaken but IÂ’M STILL ME.
God has blessed me beyond measure yet IÂ’M STILL ME.

As this new year unfolds, I encourage us to confess over our lives who God says we are. The ME of which I speak is the ME whoÂ’s come into a relationship with the risen Christ; itÂ’s the ME who has died to self; itÂ’s the ME who puts God first in everything; itÂ’s the ME who trusts God fully.

When that ME becomes sold out to God then when other say to you “you’ve changed” be quick to say “yes I have”. But also let them know I’M STILL ME but it it’s a new ME. It’s the Christ in ME.

Till next Friday, GodÂ’s willing continue to declare IÂ’M STILL ME. But let others see how the power of God is at work in you preserving, transforming and perfecting you to be the ME God desires and intends.

Please remember the Provincial Board as we meet over the next few days.

Mikie Roberts (Rev)
