Be A Blessing

The Lord said to Abram, “In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1 & 3.

When God called him, Abram moved out in faith from Ur to Haran and finally to Canaan. God then established a covenant with Abram, telling him that he would be the father of a great nation. Not only would this nation be blessed, God said, but the other nations of the earth would be blessed through AbramÂ’s descendants. Israel, the nation that would come from Abram, was to follow God and influence those with whom it came in contact. Through AbramÂ’s family tree, Jesus Christ was born to save humanity. Through Christ, we can have a personal relationship with God and be blessed beyond measure.

When God created He made something from nothing. Because we are created beings, we have no basis for pride. Remember that you exist only because God made you, and you have special gifts only because God blessed you with them. With God you are someone valuable and unique; apart from God you are nothing, and if you try to live without Him, you will be abandoning the purpose for which you were made. Become a channel of GodÂ’s blessing on your life so that others too may be blessed and become a part of this wonderful family of God. He supplies us with the personal, financial and spiritual abilities to respond to the needs of others. Once we realize how much God has blessed us, and we use our resources to do His will, then many of our problems would be solved. Our lives, our gifts, our treasure are Blessings from God; Let us use them in the way God intended. Be blessed.
