Better Days Are Coming

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your descendants and your name remain. Isaiah 66:22This section brings the curtain down on the prohecies of Isaiah, even as the Lord revealed them to him. The text is loaded with judgment and hope. After all the nation has been through, to hear the same messenger from the same God revealing to the nation the promise of a new heaven and a new earth and the continuation of their generation in perpetuity is bore-assuring and redemptive. And indeed in the coming Messiah this promise, this faithfulness of The Almighty God and the blessed hope are fulfilled and firmly secured.
Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10.Salvation is by the grace of God through human response of faith, which God Hiomself provides, yet the charge is given for believers to remain faithful to the end of their days in order to receive the divine reward, that is, ‘a crown of life’ which is defined as life eternal or life immortal. Having received our salvation we are expected to continue living as the Lord requires us to live. The Church in Smyrna had to face its own trials, they had their own strengths and weaknesses but they were exhorted to a life of faithful endurance. And so must we.
The words of a song comes to mind- 'Better days are coming by and by, when we reach that city in the sky, sorrows will be over joy will come at last, better days are coming by and by.'

In spite of all the earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, crime and violence and disasters[natural and man-made] of all sorts which are taking place around us, the people of God must continue to feed on the word of God which inspires hope and confidence. This promised 'crown of life' is for all people and no one should ever deprive himself/herself of it. We need to stand firmly on the promises of God and never lose heart.
Blessings!!!
