God's Witnesses

You are my witnesses, says the Lord. Isaiah 43:10

Here we are confronted with the compassionate God. In spite of the failure and rebellion of the people in Chapter 42, yet in Chapter 43 God reaches out with the hand of mercy to bring them back from captivity and restore them. This is an outpouring of grace and love to replace wrath which they deserved. But that is the way our God is ; He would rather show mercy than judgment. Oh, that humanity could really understand and appreciate these attributes of God. The Lord declares through the prophet that Israel can bear witness to such truths and The Church can do so too.
Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. Mark 16:15

This is the Great Commission bequeathed to the Church to bear witness to the Lord Jesus and make disciples of all peoples. This is a delegation of authority to the Church and indeed all believers to go, fully equipped with the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ into all the world. This is a call for obedience, confidence and faith. The Easter celebrations serve to re-energize the Church to continue this mission. This is the gospel the world needs in this hour; this is the hope the world is longing for, this is the love the world hungers for; we have it and we must declare it for the glory of God.

Blessings !! Bishop Clarke.
