Commit To Your Purpose

My spirit abides among you; do not fear. Haggai 2:5
The Faithfulness of God is reaffirmed in the hearing of His people. The God of the covenant remains committed to His promise. The prophet reassured the people that God was about to restore them, help them to complete their appointed task and grant them a glory among the nations greater that their ancestors knew. But He charged them to keep working- be strong all you people of the land, declares the Lord, and work. Let us cry out to God for a similar blessing.
Christ says, "It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you." John 16:7
When you know your purpose in life and you are committed to a mission, you have got to do what youÂ’ve got to do. Jesus knew this fact more than any one else. However His departure through crucifixion, resurrection and ascension would not men total absence. He would return to them as The Advocate- The Holy Spirit who will abide with The Church always. This was for the greater good of the believers. Humans love to hold on to positions, status and credentials and overlook the greater good of the Kingdom. Open your eyes to that which is greater.
Blessings!
Bishop Clarke.
