The Lord is Faithful

O Lord, it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29:12

This part of a prayer, which David prayed publicly but the whole context is an act of true worship where the worshiper appears before the awesome God in sincerity and truth. David was overwhelmed by the blessings of God expressed through the generosity and compliance of the people to the kings appeal for gifts to build the temple of God. You will notice he did not claim the glory for himself, or beat his chest and say I have done it, see how charismatic and powerful I am, the people had to listen and obey my order, of course the king has spoken who can dare to disobey the kings order. Instead he conveyed the glory and praise to God. This is a spirit of worship we can ask for as leaders and followers alike, to worship God wholeheartedly and serve Him with a willing mind.

The Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

This is another kind of appeal to the believers at Thessalonica coming from the Apostle Paul. The burden of his heart was for the spread of the Gospel, the salvation of souls and protection from the evil one. He appealed for the prayerful support of the saints, fully confident that God, who is ever faithful will act in their behalf.
And so we ask for your prayers for the work and ministry of our province and the Unity. Pray for each Minister in his/her congregation.

Blessings!

Bishop Clarke
