God's Peace

He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Isaiah 2. 4a (NIV).
A prophetic word indeed , which envisioned the day when nations will
learn of the 'mountain of the Lord', the virtue of Godly fear and
through a spiritual encounter with God, and through obedience to His
laws will be able to settle their disputes amicably and know the peace
which comes only from God- the Almighty. Instead of engaging in
warfare and training for war to settle disputes and conflicts they
will put their resources [ human, material, intellectual, financial
etc] into productive use and create a more livable world. The coming
of the Messiah has created the environment for this vision to become a
reality.
Christ says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not
give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled,
and do not let them be afraid." John 14:27

The Apostle John quoting words from Christ, The Messiah, who blesses
the world with His peace. The peace prophesied has been fulfilled and
made accessible to all nations and individuals. Those who have had a
spiritual encounter with Jesus Christ and have been living their lives
daily by the grace and principles of divine truths, would have already
experienced the presence of that peace. Such a peace springs up in our
inner being and although we live in a violent, conflicting and warring
environment that peace gives us focus on life, keeps us calm,
objective and reflective and provides a spirit of militancy that
enables us to withstand all forces of evil and after having done all
we can still remain standing firm in the liberty which Christ has
granted to us. This is really a foretaste of the future Kingdom of God
one which we anticipate in travail. Brothers and sisters let us live
at peace with one another to the glory of God.

The Peace of the Lord Jesus be with you always.

Bishop Clarke
