BE CONTAGIOUS

Hello All

Thank God for granting us by His mercy the privilege of greeting not just another Friday but another year. I pray that 2009 will be a ‘birthing’ year for you. Push out, deliver (give birth) to the divine plans and purposes of God which have been growing and forming within you. In the natural world labour is painful and not always easy. But in the end a new life comes forth. Determine this year to push past the pain and discomfort and ask God for strength to give birth to your dreams, visions and God’s purposes for you.

The word CONTAGIOUS is normally associated with diseases and doesnÂ’t carry a very positive image. No one walks around and shouts out that he or she has a CONTAGIOUS disease. Yet our FF for today, as we embark upon a new year, is to BE CONTAGIOUS. To BE CONTAGIOUS is to be infectious; it is to transmit something from you to someone else. We catch something from someone whoÂ’s CONTAGIOUS.

In spite of its negative connotations, let 2009 be the year when you intentionally become CONTAGIOUS to those in your circle of influence. But what are we going to BE CONTAGIOUS about? What are we going to infect others with?

BE CONTAGIOUS – let others know you’re praying for them and pray fervently.
BE CONTAGIOUS – life and death are in the power of the tongue: so speak life.
BE CONTAGIOUS – saturate yourself in the Bible. Read it daily. You’ll grow!
BE CONTAGIOUS – let the fruit of the Spirit blossom in you.
BE CONTAGIOUS – witness more: you’re a living testimony of God’s grace and mercy.
BE CONTAGIOUS – find a song of praise to sing in the darkest of times.
BE CONTAGIOUS – extend your hands to help those whose needs are great.
BE CONTAGIOUS – worship God with all that’s in you.
BE CONTAGIOUS – be joyful about what God is doing in and through your life.
BE CONTAGIOUS – live life to the fullest: your eyes opened this morning!

All of us in some way or the other are already CONTAGIOUS. The question is what are we spreading and infecting others with? What are we transmitting to those around us? I pray that with the unfolding of another year that we will intentionally BE CONTAGIOUS to those around us. Through us, let the power of Christ be made real; let the peace of Christ be seen; let the love of Christ be manifested.

God knows the world needs a lot more CONTAGIOUS believers. Become one today!
